Visual product configurator

The customer assembles a product and receives a photorealistic 1024×1024 image of their own configuration, rendered server-side by stacking cut-out component photos in the correct build order. Components that go on last really do appear on top.

Ordering system with kitchen workflow

Sales prices are calculated from the purchase price per portion times a margin and rounded up to ten cents; the portion stock decides automatically what is still orderable. New orders are pushed to the kitchen via messenger with status buttons, and cancellations restock ingredients and drinks.

Modular POS front end

A sellable input interface for hospitality: table plan, item entry, ordering and payment. An adapter layer keeps it independent of the underlying till, which retains all fiscally relevant operations. Module system with signed licensing and a demo/live safety switch.

Our own Android POS app

A native Android app that runs the point-of-sale interface full screen on the tablet and drives Bluetooth receipt printers directly — something a browser cannot do, because browsers only speak Bluetooth Low Energy while thermal printers use Bluetooth Classic. The tablet enrols itself by scanning a QR code; a hidden maintenance screen sits behind a two-second press on the corner. No business logic and no data live in the app.

QR table ordering

Guests scan a QR code at the table, order, and the order is booked onto the correct table in the existing till system and runs out to kitchen and bar. Tables carry unguessable codes rather than numbers, so nobody can order onto someone else's table from outside.

Insurance customer portal

Customer portal with structured intake flows for motor, household and property cover, deregistrations and payment changes. Ticket statuses, priorities, attachments, insurer management and PDF generation.

Apartment management assistant

Reads bookings from the booking platform API, collects missing guest registration data through a bilingual pre-check-in link and prepares it in the format the tourism authority requires. Plus an arrivals board and a daily pricing recommendation based on occupancy, weekends and events, with configurable guard rails.

Infrastructure we run ourselves

Our own operational backbone — and the reason we can take on distribution, not just development.

Central shipping hub

One hub handles shipping for five of our brands. Brands call the hub API, the hub talks to the carriers and returns the label PDF and tracking. Status is polled every 30 minutes and forwarded HMAC-signed to the right brand, which notifies the customer.

What it provesFulfilment is our own infrastructure, not a bolt-on.

Central payment instance

A single Stripe instance serving four brands, alongside myPOS in production and SumUp validated. Card-present and online payments settle into the same accounting flow.

What it provesCollecting, splitting and settling across multiple brands — the basis of any distribution business.

Accounting integration

Receipts, exports and tax-rate handling flow automatically into the bookkeeping system instead of being typed twice.

What it provesThe money trail does not stop at checkout; it ends properly in the books.

Stock control across brands

Stock kept at unit level with a full change log. Cancellations restock idempotently, so repeated clicks never corrupt the count.

Photo booth

In-house design with bill of materials, construction drawings, GPIO and printer testing and a custom output tray for the photo printer. Delivered with quotation and price list to a customer.

Multi-zone projection mapper

Dual-HDMI output, keystone correction via homography, visual zone mapping on canvas, touch-optimised admin and a 3D-printed ceiling mount. Used to project the exact placement onto a textile press.

Self-service top-up terminal

Our own Python library against the REST API of a print accounting system, giving customers 24/7 credit top-up in the showroom.

Receipt-printer alerting

Incoming orders print immediately on a receipt printer at the workstation — a physical signal for a digital process.

3D design and printing

Magnetic connectors, battery covers, spotlight brackets, vacuum tooling plates and mounts — our own CAD parts for our own devices.

Cashless drinks system

Prepaid account topped up through a web interface, login by chip and barcode scanner, a networked fridge with a magnetic lock that only opens with sufficient balance, automatic capture of what was taken, and a weekly automatic reorder from the wholesaler once the minimum order value is reached.

merkichmir.at — platform and point of sale for local businesses

Problem
A small business today needs half a dozen systems that know nothing about each other: a website, online ordering, appointment booking, a fiscal till, a receipt printer, customer records. Neither affordable nor operable at that size.
Solution
merkichmir.at is one platform with two faces. Outward a directory where guests find a local business and act straight away — order, book, take an appointment. Inward a management tool spanning restaurants, quick-service, hotels, salons, health and online shops. Every business gets its own address or domain, kept apart from the others down to the database row. Includes a fiscalised till, our own Android app for the tablet, and receipt printers that fetch their jobs themselves. Sold in modules, booked individually.
Result
A business assembles what it needs and gets visibility, ordering, till and billing from one system instead of six. Live in production, with its own reseller model.

Cashless drinks system for a club

Problem
A club wanted to settle drinks without cash, without loss of trust and without manual tally sheets.
Solution
A prepaid system built entirely in-house: top-ups through a web interface, login by chip and barcode scanner on the wall, a networked fridge with a magnetic lock that only opens with sufficient balance, automatic capture of what was taken and connected billing. On top of that the system reorders the missing drinks from the wholesaler once a week — but only when the minimum order value is reached.
Result
Cashless, tamper-resistant self-service around the clock plus automatic replenishment — the proof that electrical engineering, hardware, payment and web come from one source.

From switchboard to complete system

I come from electrical engineering — a trained bus and process control technician — and got into programming early through it. Today I connect hardware, software, web and print into complete solutions and run several businesses of my own. I do not just advise; I build it myself.
